Daftar Tilik Penyerahan Naskah

Penulis yang ingin memasukkan naskah harus memperhatikan poin-poin di bawah ini. Jika naskah tidak sesuai dengan persyaratan yang telah dicantumkan, ada kemungkinan naskah tersebut akan dikembalikan.
  • Naskah belum pernah diterbitkan sebelumnya, dan tidak sedang dalam pertimbangan untuk diterbitkan di jurnal lain (atau sudah dijelaskan dalam Komentar kepada Editor).
  • File naskah dalam format dokumen OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, atau RTF.
  • Referensi yang dapat diakses online telah dituliskan URL-nya.
  • Naskah diketik dengan teks 1 spasi; font 12; menggunakan huruf miring, bukan huruf bergaris bawah (kecuali alamat URL); dan semua ilustrasi, gambar, dan tabel diletakkan dalam teks pada tempat yang diharapkan, bukan dikelompokkan tersendiri di akhir naskah.
  • Naskah mengikuti aturan gaya selingkung dan bibliografi yang disyaratkan dalam Panduan Penulis.

Borneo Khatulistiwa: Journal of Community Service

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Originality and Plagiarism
  • Manuscripts submitted to Borneo Khatulistiwa: Journal of Community Service must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Authors wishing to withdraw their manuscripts during the editorial or review process must submit a formal withdrawal letter to the Editor, stating clear reasons for the withdrawal.
  • The journal employs plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts identified as containing plagiarism or exceeding the journal's similarity threshold will be rejected.
  1. Author Contributions
  • All authors listed in the manuscript must have made significant contributions to the community service activity and the preparation of the article.
  • Author contributions (e.g., program planning, activity implementation, data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and substantive revision) may be described in Form A.
  • All authors are responsible for the content of the published article.
  1. Form A
  • Form A includes author responsibilities, publication charges, conflict of interest statements, and copyright transfer agreements. This form must be completed and submitted together with the manuscript.
  1. Ethical Compliance
  • Manuscripts must comply with ethical research standards.
  • Studies involving human participants or animals must include details of ethical approval (e.g., the name of the ethics committee and approval number).
  1. Journal Scope

Borneo Khatulistiwa: Journal of Community Service accepts articles reporting community service activities from various disciplines, including but not limited to:

  • Community empowerment and social development.
  • Agriculture, food security, and rural development.
  • Animal husbandry, fisheries, and aquaculture.
  • Education, training, and community capacity building.
  • Public health and health promotion.
  • Appropriate technology and engineering applications.
  • Information technology and digital transformation.
  • Environmental management and sustainable development.
  • MSME development, entrepreneurship, and creative economy.
  • Law, public policy, and legal awareness programs.
  • Renewable energy and environmentally friendly technologies.
  • Social, cultural, and humanities development.
  • Innovation and multidisciplinary community service programs.
  1. Publication Frequency

Borneo Khatulistiwa: Journal of Community Service is published twice a year, in June and December.

  1. Submission Process
  • Manuscripts and Form A must be submitted electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) of Borneo Khatulistiwa: Journal of Community Service at https://journal.icts.or.id/index.php/bjts/index.
  • Authors are required to register an account before submitting their manuscripts. All submission, review, revision, and editorial communications are conducted through the journal's OJS platform.
  • Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal template and author guidelines may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the peer-review process.

 

 

 

 

 

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

 

  1. Language and Format

Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian using standard scientific language.

Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format, with graphs in Microsoft Excel and figures in JPEG or PDF format.

 

  1. Formatting
  • Use 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, except for titles, tables, figure captions, and appendices, which should be single-spaced.
  • Manuscripts should be formatted on A4 paper with 3 cm margins on all sides.

 

  1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

  • Title
  • Author Names and Affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Recommendation
  • References

 

  1. Page and Line Numbers
  • Include page numbers and line numbers to facilitate the review process.

 

CONTENT GUIDELINES

 

  1. Title

The title must be written briefly and clearly, and must show precisely the problem to be raised, not to provide a variety of interpretive opportunities, not to contain abbreviations that are not commonly used, not too long (no more than 15 words), Times New Roman, font size 14 pt.

 

  1. Authors and Affiliations

List full author names and affiliations, including department, institution, city, country, and corresponding author’s email address.

 

  1. Abstract

The abstract briefly describes the objectives of the community service program, the methods used, partner institutions, instruments, data analysis techniques, and the main outcomes achieved. It should clearly highlight the significance and impact of the service activities on the target community. The abstract is written in one paragraph, typically between 150–250 words (Times New Roman 10, spasi 1, spacing  before 10 pt, after 2 pt).

 

  1. Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that reflect the main themes of the manuscript.

 

  1. Introduction

This section explains the background and rationale of the community service activity. It describes the social, educational, economic, or cultural issues faced by the target community and explains why the program is necessary. Relevant theories, policies, or previous community service or research studies may be briefly reviewed to strengthen the argument. The introduction concludes with the objectives and expected contributions of the community service program.

 

  1. Methods

This section explains the approach and procedures used in implementing the community service program. It includes a description of the target community, location, and duration of the activities. The methods applied—such as training, workshops, mentoring, participatory learning, or empowerment strategies—are explained in detail. Data collection techniques for evaluating the program (e.g., observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation) are also described.

 

  1. Results and Discussion

This section presents the outcomes of the community service activities and discusses them critically. The results may include changes in knowledge, skills, attitudes, participation, or community capacity, supported by qualitative or quantitative evidence. The discussion connects the results with the objectives, relevant theories, or findings from previous studies. Challenges encountered during implementation and how they were addressed should also be discussed.

 

  1. Conclusion

The conclusion summarizes the key findings and achievements of the community service program. It highlights the overall impact of the activities on the target community and emphasizes their significance. This section should be concise and directly reflect the objectives stated in the introduction.

 

  1. Recommendation

This section provides practical suggestions for future community service programs, policy improvements, or follow-up activities. Recommendations may be directed to stakeholders such as community members, local authorities, educational institutions, or future practitioners. Suggestions for sustainability and program replication in other communities are also encouraged.

 

  1. References

All references referred to in the text of the article must be listed in the Bibliography section. The bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and a minimum of 80% of the entire bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. Each article contains at least 20 reference bibliography. Writing a reference system in article texts and writing a bibliography should use a reference management application program, for example: Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, or others. The writing format used in the Jurnal Pengabdian Borneo Khatulistiwa is in accordance with the APA (American Psychological Association) format.
